Today, we honor the legacy of David Scott — a dedicated advocate for farmers and rural communities.
As the first African American Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee, he championed policies that strengthened agriculture and created opportunities for future generations.
His leadership and impact will not be forgotten.
On behalf of the National Black Growers Council, we extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

Here are a few key reminders for this season:
✔️ Start clean with herbicides or tillage
✔️ Match your seed to your ground—talk with your sales reps
✔️ Consider seed treatments for early planted soybeans
✔️ On sandy soils with nematodes:
• Plant early
• Use nematicides
• Choose resistant varieties
